Job Description:

As a Procurement Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing our procurement process across Lebanon and the GCC countries, ensure the efficient sourcing and acquisition of goods and services. You will be responsible for managing and streamlining the procurement activities within KristiesLab. You will collaborate with various departmental heads locally and regionally to ensure seamless procurement operations are aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Vendor Management:

  • Identify and evaluate potential local and regional suppliers to ensure their reliability and suitability.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable contracts and pricing agreements.
  • Foster strong long-term relationships with vendors locally and regionally to maintain a reliable supply chain.
  • Continuously monitor vendor performance and address any issues or inconsistency promptly.
  • Oversee the tracking and monitoring of tenders and bids on various leading vendor platforms, such as but not limited to Governments and UN entities in the region.

Procurement Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for Lebanon and the GCC countries aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with relevant local and regional departments to forecast procurement needs and ensure timely availability.
  • Analyze local and regional market trends, pricing and supply-demand dynamics to identify opportunities for improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies throughout the procurement process in Lebanon and the GCC countries.

Contract Management:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of procurement contracts considering legal and financial implications in Lebanon and the GCC countries.
  • Coordinate with legal and finance teams to ensure contracts are well-structured and protect organization’s interest locally and regionally.
  • Monitor contract expiration dates and negotiate renewals when necessary.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor the procurement team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring efficient execution of procurement activities.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs to enhance the team’s capability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in business administration, supply chain management or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven 3 years of experience in procurement management preferably on a regional level.
  • Possess knowledge of the market trends, regulations and supplier’s landscape in Lebanon and the GCC countries in order to contribute to the regional procurement strategy.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing strategies and vendor management locally and regionally.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build strong relationships with suppliers in the region.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
