During the last several years, the horrific Beirut blast and the ruthless pandemic have left detrimental effects on every human being on the Lebanese grounds. Some lost their homes, other family members, their dreams and their hope to continue living and thriving. People recovered from their physical wounds; however, their mental and emotional wounds continue to bleed inside holding them back from self-fulfillment. Worldwide studies show that collaboration and social emotional support can heal communities. This social responsibility touched the heart of the mother, the school educator and sparked the idea of starting a social emotional learning hub that will help heal the wounds to recover and restore hope in the nation. Starting SEL Hub was selected as a finalist by the UNESCWA and the founder and the team were invited to Jordan to the 1st Arab SME where the story transformed from ideation phase to action plan and implementation!
